How to link Fluent Forms to FluentCRM

Do you have multiple websites?

One of the most common questions: is how to transfer the data from Fluent Forms to FluentCRM, and how to connect between them.

That’s why, I have decided to write this short article on how this connection is being done, plus I will answer all the above questions.

Step by Step how link Fluent Forms to FluentCRM on different websites

Firstly, let us say that you have 2 WordPress websites A & B. 

You have a registration form on website A, and I highly recommend Fluent Forms to be your best choice for the registration forms on your website. Plus, I will use it here in my explanation.

You have a CRM system installed on your WordPress website B, and I highly recommend you FluentCRM that is the best and easiest CRM plugin for WordPress user with a ton of features.

So now, when a user registered on website A using the registration form, you want to add all his details to website B.

This can be done quickly using the webhooks through linking Fluent Forms to FluentCRM on both websites.

Here are the steps:

1- Go to the dashboard on your website A, press on the plugins tab, search for Fluent Forms, and install it if you didn’t do it yet.

To enable the Webhooks option, you need to have the Pro version from Fluent Forms. Click here to get Fluent Forms with a special discount price (Lifetime deal).

Now, after purchasing and activating Fluent Forms Pro, you can switch on the Webhooks module, and you will notice a green button beside it written enabled.

Now, you need to create your registration form installed on website A to grab the leads of your visitors.

To create this form, go to the Fluent Forms Pro tab and choose New Form, and we will a new form from scratch, so we will select New Blank Form.

To create a form, it’s straightforward, drag and drop, so you need to choose your required module and drag it in the form.

You have multiple fields to choose from, and as I need, my form consists of 4 rows, and the top row will include two columns, the first column for the first name and the second column for the last name.

So for the first row, I will choose from the container field One column container, and once I press on it, one row with one column will appear in my form. 

Then I press on the plus button of this row and choose Name Fields, and to make the name field is required, you need to select Yes as shown in the photo. You can notice when the field is changed to required, there is a red asterisk that will appear beside it, which means the user can not successfully submit this form without filling this field. The same concept is applied to all other fields.

So, I will follow the same you can do it for the last name.

Go back to the input fields and select container, then press three times on One Column Container to create three more rows.

For the second row, I will choose from the popup list the Email address, then for the third row, I will select the country list, and for the fourth, I will select the text input field (in case the user wants to add any comment or recommendations).

For easy remembering this form, I can rename the form for the top and press on the form name to change it, then press on rename.

Then press saves on the top right of the form.

From the settings and integrations tab, you need to choose Webhook, then press on add new.

In the webhook integration window, you need to write the name of the integration.

The next step adds the webhook URL that you have on-site B where you installed FluentCRM, but to get the webhook from FluentCRm, you need to have its Pro Version.

Once you installed FluentCRM Pro, press on Incoming webhooks and then press on create a webhook.

Then you fill in all the details in the webhook, name, tag, list, and subscription status.

Note: In case you did not create any tags or lists, it is recommended to create the tag and list before creating the webhook,

After pressing on create, a URL will be automatically generated, so you need to take a copy of this URL and paste in the Request URL field in the form you created on website A.

Then from the request method, select Post, and the Request Format selects JSON.

Then you can choose either all fields to be submitted, or if you need specific fields to be sent through the webhook, just choose selected fields.

You can get the field name from the webhook that is generated in FluentCRM on website B.

Then press on Create Webhook Feed, and now you are successfully linked to both websites A & B, so when a user submits his details on the registration form on website A, instantaneously, all his details will be forwarded to FluentCRM on website B, and so you can do whatever you want like run automation when a tag is applied to a user, and there are tens of use cases can be done with the help of FluentCRM.
